European Commissioner visits Sea Ranger ship

The European Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries, Virginijus Sinkevičius, visited the Sea Ranger Service vessel SV Fantastiko in Den Helder to mark European Maritime Day 2021.

With the Sea Ranger Service model scaling across Europe in the coming years, the commissioner showed his support for the mission to effectively combine ocean conservation impact with sustainable blue economy activities.

The commissioner was visiting Den Helder to celebrate European Maritime Day 2021, an annual two-day event during which Europe’s maritime community meets to network, discuss and forge joint action on maritime affairs and sustainable blue economy.
